Dear Boat Club Alumni, Members and Supporters,
There has been quite a lot happening at the Boat Club over the past few months – let us bring you up to date.
Sydney University New Boatshed
The construction of the new boatshed is well advanced – over the past two months the builders have drilled and/or driven 36 new piles into Burns Bay and onto these they have fitted the connecting headstocks and formworks for the main floor.
The reinforced concrete slab was poured last Wednesday a week ago and now the builders are putting in place the formwork to pour the walls that will divide the bays and support the top story.
Construction could be finished as early as November.
Boatshed Funding
Following arrangements on installing racking in the new boatshed the SUBCV Committee decided to increase their fundraising commitment towards the cost of the new boatshed to $1,600,000. To date pledges and commitments from alumni total $1,350,000.
Another $250,000 in assistance is needed from alumni. Can you help ? Call Chris Noel on 0410 406 790 or email boat@tnw.com.au
